About

The choral program has been a big part of the high school experience at Putnam City High School.  Throughout the last eight years, our program has had several successes including:

*  Students accepted to the All-OMEA & All-OCDA all-state honor choirs
*  Several students accepted to the COCDA district honor choirs
*  Multiple Superior ratings at solo and ensemble contest
*  College scholarships awarded to talented choir students
*  Former choir members accepted to accredited music programs at the
    university level

Our program has some of the top talent in the state and we are looking forward to many more successes to come!

My name is Gina Matlock and I am so excited to be able to say I am a PCO Pirate.
This is my 27th year as a choir director, the last 17 at KCMS. I began my teaching career at Central Jr. High (now Capps MS) here in Putnam City. I  have also taught at Guthrie High School, and in Texas.
During my time at KCMS, the choirs received consistent superior ratings at OSSAA district choir contest, including multiple Outstanding Achievement Awards for superior ratings in both concert and sight reading performances.  January 2018 the KCMS Treble choir was selected to perform at the Oklahoma Music Educators state convention.
I am a graduate of Southern Nazarene University. I currently live in Bethany with my son Keller and Princess dog, Stormie. I enjoy reading, attending my son's choir and orchestra concerts, and taking long walks on the beach.  I am so excited to be a PIRATE!
